Gigabit Voucher Scheme

The Government-backed Gigabit Voucher Scheme provides funding towards the cost of full-fibre broadband connections to small businesses (SMEs).  Residential properties can be included provided they can be grouped together with one or more SMEs as one application, and the total residential claim does not exceed the SME claim.  The scheme is accessible to properties which qualify as ‘rural’ and there is a postcode look-up on the link below.  For businesses the vouchers have a value of up to £3,500 and for residential customers, £1,500 per customer.

Full details of the scheme can be found on the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) website at https://gigabitvoucher.culture.gov.uk

For F4RN, the voucher scheme means that we can extend our fibre optic network beyond the boundaries set by our original community share offer.    We are keen to work with groups of people who can qualify for vouchers and are willing to help develop a project to build the network.  As a Community Benefit Society, any surplus we generate is put straight back into the business and the community, which helps us to keep our prices low and avoid annual price increases.

If you are interested in a full fibre connection to your property, want a symmetrical, super-fast, super-reliable broadband service and want to work with other local people who are passionate about making sure that rural communities in Nottinghamshire are well connected and great places to live and work then please get in touch with us – f4rn@f4rn.org.uk
